Somethings are better the traditional way.

Call us old school but we always start the process with pen and paper. There is something so organic about it, it removes all distractions allowing you to truly connect with what’s being created. Very rarely do these analogue approaches make their way to the final article, but that's exactly what happened when working with The Cultured Collective.

Our Work

Built by hand.

We first started working with the Cultured Collective in 2017 when the founder was looking for a logo designer but ended up selecting another creative for the job. Fortunately for us, that’s not where the story ends as a couple of weeks later we were asked if one of the concepts presented could be developed into the packaging for the brand. 

The original labels were hand-painted watercolours with a total of nine labels being created: three kimchi’s, three sauerkrauts and three culture shots. Over the duration of working with The Cultured Collective, the range has changed as the company has grown and so has its branding.

Always Water your roots

.

As the brand developed homage was always paid to the original illustrations bringing them forward but with a new updated twist. Over time the original logo was also developed to make more effective use of the space available on the labels. In the most recent brand refresh, the logo was completely overhauled to create a new look featuring a bold iconic letter ‘C’ keeping in line with the organic farmhouse chic look.
